Yext Introduces AI Suite for Government Modernization
AI search company Yext recently unveiled a new suite of solutions tailored to help government agencies modernize existing technical infrastructure.
In 2018, Congress passed the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act(IDEA), requiring all government agencies to digitize public services in order to meet new consumer expectations. However, the pandemic accelerated the need for this transformation, largely due to more citizens completing tasks in remote/hybrid environments.
"The signing of the 21st Century IDEA put the public sector's need for improved digital experiences into full view," said Laurie Cook, VP of Public Sector at Yext. "Now more than ever, government agencies are looking for technology that will quickly and easily set them up to serve constituents more effectively online. Our growing team is so excited to show them the potential they can unlock with Yext's powerful Public Sector AI search solution set, a one-stop shop for all of their CX needs."
Yext solutions are highly regarded in the business world, but recently generated attention in the public sector after Yext helped deploy search solutions in COVID19 information hubs for the World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. State Department.
To help agencies offer better service for common government procedures, the new Yext solution suite offers agencies the following features:
- Self-Service Portal: Citizens can ask simple questions and solve common issues on their own with the assistance of AI-powered control center support.
- Site Search: Instead of calling agencies and waiting on the line, users can simply search for what they need. With the support of natural language processing, citizens can ask specific questions and get answers without human assistance.
- Reputation Management: Agencies can better understand how citizens feel about service quality by monitoring and addressing reviews across digital channels.
- SEO: This feature makes it easier for users to generate accurate search results, so less time is spent moving through multiple websites to answer frequently asked questions.
